Created in partnership with Eventist Group, the Queen’s House Dining Domes have capacity for 4-6 people, making it the perfect spot for reconnecting with family or meeting friends this spring.

Opening times

The Queen's House Dining Domes are open Thursday-Sunday each week from 7 May - 6 June. Diners can also book for the spring bank holiday on Monday 31 May. 

From 7 May:

  • Lunch: Friday-Saturday 1-2pm | Sunday 12-3.30pm
  • Afternoon tea: Friday-Saturday 3.30-4.30pm
  • Dinner: Thursday-Saturday 5.30-9pm | Sunday 5-8.30pm

Bank Holiday Monday (31 May)

  • Lunch: 12-3.30pm
  • Dinner: 5-8.30pm

The Queen's House Dining Domes can seat groups of between four and six guests including children. If you would like a larger party, please contact 0207 840 7626 or email bookings@alisonprice.co.uk. We encourage all guests to adhere to the latest government guidance for social gatherings to help protect themselves and each other when visiting our attractions. 

Booking and payment

Book online and guarantee your meal in a Dome. If no slots are available on the date and time you want, it means this slot is sold out. We hope you’ll visit another day.  

There is no minimum spend on the Lunch or Afternoon Tea sessions. However, if your party is less than four there will be cover charges added on for the missing people. The minimum spend for the Early Dinner session is £300 and £350 for the Late Dinner session.

Should you need to cancel your booking within 7 days of your reservation, a cancellation charge of £35 per person for a dinner booking or £20 per person for a lunch or afternoon tea booking will be charged.

COVID-19 guidelines

We are committed to the following steps to mitigate the risk of the spread of COVID-19 at our museums and within the Dining Domes. 

  • Keeping each Dome partially open for ventilation in accordance with government guidance and regulations on outdoor dining (please dress for the weather)
  • Limiting our overall Dining Dome capacity.

  • Limiting the allowed number of guests per table.

  • Marking physical distancing measurements throughout the venue.

  • Keeping all Dining Domes physically distanced to current guidelines.

  • Our service offering is table service only for food and drinks to reduce staff contact with guests.

  • Contactless payment only.

  • Managing capacity within the toilet areas – queuing system will be in effect.

  • Requiring reservations and booking to allow us to operate full track and trace.

  • Setting time limits on bookings.

  • Installing public and staff sanitising locations.

  • Implementing signage where necessary to remind guests to physically distance or wear face-coverings when appropriate.

  • Operating a one-way traffic system.

  • Dedicated cleaning staff disinfecting common touch points.

  • Operating rigorous staff workstation cleaning between session changeovers.

We ask all guests to be mindful of maintaining physical distance with staff and other guests and to follow all recommended government advice.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a minimum or maximum guest number requirement for the Dining Domes?

Do I need to do anything before I arrive? 

After completing your booking online with Open Table, a confirmation email will be emailed to you. You can print it out and bring them with you or show the attachment on your smartphone when you arrive. Make sure you have selected the right date and time. If you have any issues, please contact bookings@alisonprice.co.uk or call 0207 840 7626. 

If you have qualified for any discounts or special offers, please ensure you bring with you proof of your entitlement. We will request proof prior to your being seated. 

When should I arrive? 

Please arrive on time for your dining experience. Please only bring essential items with you. Storage facilities are limited and staff will not be able to look after your belongings for you. Please arrive to the Anchor Gate on Romney Road where the Welcome Gazebo will be stationed ready to welcome you. If you arrive via a different entrance, please make your way to the Welcome Gazebo to check in. Please do not enter a Dining Dome that you have not been escorted to by one of our team members.  

How do I get to the Queen's House Dining Domes? 

The Queen’s House Dining Domes are located outside the Queen’s House on Romney Road, SE10 9NF in Greenwich. Please arrive to the Anchor Gate on Romney Road where the Welcome Gazebo will be stationed ready to welcome you. If you arrive via a different entrance, please make your way to the Welcome Gazebo to check in.  

Getting to Greenwich

Can I park at Royal Museums Greenwich? 

There is a secure public car park at the National Maritime Museum which can be used by visitors to any of our Museums every day between 10am and 5pm (limited spaced on weekdays). The car park is located on Park Row within the grounds of the Museum. The cost of parking here is £10 per day: book online here. The car park is not available for dinner slots.

Parking in Greenwich is limited, particularly at weekends. There are off-street pay-and-display car parks in Greenwich Park run by Royal Parks (250 spaces, maximum 4 hours). 

The Royal Borough of Greenwich operates car parks nearby in Park Row and Burney Street. Usual exemptions apply for Blue Badge holders.

How do I pay for my meal?  

We are adhering to COVID-19 safe guidelines and thus will not be accepting cash payments. We accept payment by card.  

How long is my booking for?  

All sessions inside the Dining Domes are for 2 hours. Afternoon Tea sessions are for 1.5 hours.

What do I do if I need to cancel my booking?

Credit card details are taken at the time of booking but no payment is charged. Should you need to cancel your booking within 7 days of your reservation, a cancellation charge of £35 per person for a dinner booking or £20 per person for a lunch or afternoon tea booking will be charged. Failure to arrive for your booking within 15 minutes of your booking time may also incur this cancellation charge. 

Cancellations are through your booking with Open Table. 

What do I do if I haven't received my tickets?

Please check your spam mailbox as the confirmation email may have gone there. Not there? Please contact 020 7840 7626. Alternatively, email bookings@alisonprice.co.uk.

Can I change my booking?

Once booked, if you need to make any amendments please go back onto Open Table and enter your details. Please check your bookings carefully prior to checking out. If you have any last minute issues, please call 0207 840 7626 or email bookings@alisonprice.co.uk

If I cannot make it to my booked dining experience, will I get a refund?

Unfortunately, we cannot offer any refunds for non-attendance. 

What happens in the lockdown is extended or the next phase is delayed?

The Queen’s House Dining Domes are allowed according to the current government guidance. However, if there is an extension, we will contact you to rearrange your booking. Should you be unable to make a new reservation for an alternative date your booking will be automatically cancelled by us and no payment will be due. 

Is there heating inside the Dining Domes?

To abide by government guidance of outdoor dining, the Dining Domes will be open on two sides and there will be heating within the Domes.  

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Please download the menus above for more information on the dishes available. If you have any specific requirements related to an allergy or intolerance, please specify at the time of your booking and our team will assist you with the menu on the day. 

Are children allowed?

Children of all ages are welcome and we encourage you to visit the museums before or after your dining experience when the museums reopen from Monday 17 May. Please include any children (babies included) within your final booking size which must be a maximum of 6. If you need a highchair, please specify at your time of booking. A child’s menu is available on request. 

Can I bring my pet with me?

We are sorry but animals, with the exclusion of assistance animals, are not allowed. If you plan to bring an assistance animal, please let us know at the time of booking. 

Are the Queen’s House Dining Domes accessible?

Whilst the Dining Domes are not totally step-free, we will have ramps for wheelchairs available. Please let us know when you make your booking if you require this.

What happens if the weather is bad?

The Dining Domes will operate in nearly all weather conditions. In the unlikely event that the Dining Domes must close, alternative sessions will be offered. We regret that no refunds will be given due to bad weather.

What is the protocol if I am running late for my booking?

Failure to arrive within 15 minutes of your booking time may incur a cancellation charge.

Can I visit the Museums during my visit?

Our indoor museums and attractions will be open to the public from Monday 17 May 2021, so any diners visiting the Domes after this date can also book online to visit. Toilets will still be available for guests to use throughout.

Are there toilets at the Dining Domes?

There are no toilets at the Dining Domes themselves, however, there are toilets available in the National Maritime Museum. This is less than a two-minute walk from the Domes. The toilets are fully accessible.

Do I have to wear a mask?

You will be expected to wear a mask whenever you visit the Museum to use the bathroom in accordance with guidelines unless you are specifically exempt (see exemptions here). You will not be expected to wear a mask inside the Dining Domes.

What happens a member of my group becomes unwell prior to our session?

Do not attend your dining experience if you, or any of your group, are showing signs of any of the known COVID-19 symptoms: a high temperature, a new persistent cough, a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste. Please contact us as soon as you can at bookings@alisonprice.co.uk or 0207 840 7626 and we will endeavour to reschedule your ticket.

How can I help to protect myself and others whilst at the Domes?
  • Please follow all current government guidelines with regard to meeting others outside of your household. 
  • Always wear a face mask/covering (unless exempt from doing so) whilst inside the Museum. 

  • Use the hand sanitiser available and avoid touching any surfaces you don’t need to. 

  • Maintain social distancing at all times – follow the signage at the Domes and any instructions from our team. 

  • If queuing at any point, please keep in your group, facing forward, and maintain a safe distance from others outside of your group. 

  • Use contactless payment methods – cash will not be accepted for the Dining Domes or at any of the associated attractions. 

  • Ensure any children with you are also following the guidelines.
