In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Enclosure: Extract of a letter from Abraham Stock at Dover in which he reports that a large anchor has been found partially buried in the beach at Folkestone. Its cable has been disconnected and piled up ashore. The anchor is not thought to be English. A second anchor has also been found, even heavier than the first, though without cable or buoy. He states that he has room to store the anchors and that local labour are willing to transport them.
