Pamphlet describing in some detail the machinery, equipment and accomodation of the CS Ocean Layer. The cable ship was coverted from the SS Empire Frome by R.S. Hayes, Pembroke Dockyard. Illustrated with a large folded plan and many photographs, and containing a list of the cableships previously owned Submarine Cables and its parent companies.
