Thames
A steamer and tugs offshore on the Thames. When the Port of London was at its trading peak, the Thames was enormously busy with a huge variety of shipping. Skilled pilots and tugs were used to guide larger vessels to London's many docks and wharves, ensuring the smooth operation of the port.
