A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Norddeutscher Lloyd passenger liner Trave (1886) under way off Staten Island, New York. She is shown after her 1896-1897 refit when her masts were reduced to two. A copy negative made by the NMM studio of a photographic print produced from a negative made by August or Alexander Loeffler.
