Two different accounts collected by John Marshall including the account copied from the American logbook of the TOPAZ written by Lieutenant William Fitzmaurice, retelling the meeting of Alexander Smith otherwise known as John Adams from the Bounty mutiny, also including how Captain Folger was given the Bounty's azimuth compass and Larcum Kendall K2 marine chronometer by Adams. Also included is a tale of Lieutenant Fitton and Lieutenant Wylie getting prize money after Lieutenant Fitton found papers belonging to an American ship called the NANCY which Wylie was investigating. While Lieutenant Wylie was looking at false papers Lieutenant Fitton found the real papers inside a shark he had just caught for breakfast.
