Melbourne (1875)
A quarter plate negative. A starboard near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Melbourne (1875) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has double topgallant yards on her main mast but only single yards on her fore and mizzen masts. A yawl rigged vessel is in the foreground and Tilbury Fort Watergate is in the background. A Gould copy of a Gould photographic print made from whole plate negative number G1517.
