Small sailing vessels alongside a makeshift pier in Port-au-Prince harbour, Haiti
Small sailing vessels alongside a makeshift pier in Port-au-Prince harbour, Haiti. The pier appears to be constructed by infilling the stripped and abandoned hull of an iron or steel built ship. Men and women are on the pier working a cargo of firewood, some of which is on a sack truck in the foreground. One of the vessels has a sail hoisted, presumably to dry.
