Marjorie (fl.1890)
Scale 1:12. Plan showing the body plan, sheer lines and longitudinal half-breadth for Marjorie (fl.1890), a Pill & District hobbling boat. The plan has a list of scantlings and calculations of weights, volume and prismatic coefficient. This draught seems to have ben drawn some 60 years after the vessel was built. The drawing and draughtsmanship similar to 'Mary' (HIC0015).
A hobbling boat was one operated by a free-lance pilot. In this case, it seems to have been the Pill district near Bristol.
Paper very fragile.
