Shield-shaped oak plaque with a sheet of copper attached by screws. The copper is embossed with a depiction of HMS 'Victory' and the inscription: 'ENGLAND EXPECTS TEMWDH DUTY. DEATH OF NELSON OCT 21ST 1805 CENTENARY MEMENTO OCT 2ST 1805. CENTENARY MEMENTO OCT 21ST 1905. CONTAINING COPPER FROM HMS VICTORY FROM LORDS OF THE ADMIRALTY TO BRITISH & FOREIGN SAILORS SOCIETY ER VII.'
