Royal Observatory Greenwich is the home of time and space in the UK. 

We host a wide range of events and activities for students of all ages, everything from planetarium shows, workshops, animated videos and classroom resources, CPD sessions for teachers, and much more!

As a treat for all New Scientist Live visitors, we're offering a chance to win a free planetarium show for you and your class, a special visit to the Royal Observatory, plus a variety of astronomy and science books for students.

What can I win?

Three winners will be randomly selected from all those who complete the form. The prizes are:

  • 1st prize: A free planetarium show for the competition winner and their class (up to 30 students). The show must be booked on a Thursday from January 2025 onwards. Alternative, a free online workshop for the competition winner and their class (up to 30 students). The workshop must be booked during a free online schools session or on a Thursday from January 2025 onwards.
    2nd prize: A free visit to the Royal Observatory historic site for a class of up to 30 students.  
    3rd prize: Three books selected by Royal Observatory Greenwich astronomers based on the age of the competition winner's class.
