Role: Community Garden Facilitator

Working with: Collections Engagement Lead at The Prince Philip Maritime Collections Centre

We are seeking a Community Garden Freelance Facilitator to design and deliver weekly community garden sessions for schools at the Prince Philip Maritime Collections Centre (PPMCC), part of Royal Museums Greenwich. 

The role involves leading creative, hands-on gardening activities inspired by the museum’s collections and conservation work, helping children explore sustainability and how plants grow. You will also support light garden maintenance and develop accessible, all-ages activities for our Community Day on Saturday 4 July, when the garden will be showcased to the public.

The ideal candidate will have gardening knowledge, experience working with children, and the ability to plan engaging, inclusive sessions. An interest in museums and history, strong organisational skills, and confidence facilitating group activities are essential.

Freelance fee: £3,545
