Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)
Informing that the GLOUCESTER now in Kingroad is ordered to convoy the CANTERBURY Storeship from there to Kinsale; and stating that in the event that the Navy Board has ordered the GREENFISH, KATHERINE and the SUPPLY to return quickly to the Downs, they will be convoyed westward by the SMYRNA FACTOR (Hired ship). It is hoped that ships cruising off [Friesland] will be able to offer them sufficient protection. Signed by Josiah Burchett, believed to be temporary Acting Secretary.
