In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The GOODWIN Prize has been lost off Dover but the crew, with the exception of Captain Martin, have been acquitted at Court Martial. Martin however had left the ship before she came to anchor and has been sentenced to serve as a Volunteer for three months aboard a Ship of the Line during the Summer. The wages of all of the crew, including the Commander, are to be paid.
