In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The existing Waterboat at Sheerness is worn out but its replacement, a Machine Vessel, has proved too small and is more suited for use as a Surveying or Mustering vessel serving ships at anchor at the Nore. Instead, approval is given for the SEAHORSE at Woolwich to serve as a Waterboat.
