In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Wishart of the SWIFTSURE has been instructed to enter John Layton Seaman on his Books and to dispense with his absence until he comes on board as he has been in London on Admiralty business. He is to receive an allowance in money equal to the value of the Victuals he would have received during the time he was absent from the SWIFTSURE between October 1694 and April 1695.
