In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have received a letter from Captain Townsend, Commander of the PENZEANCE, advising of her having a Forecastle and complaining of the inconvenience of the Cook Room being in the hold. Are sending a Copy of his letter enclosed and direct you to give this Board an account of how she comes to have a Forecastle, and if she is not built according to contract you are to take care to mulct the Builders .
Upon the Ship's arrival at Portsmouth, or any other Port you are to cause her to be surveyed and report your opinion to this Board of the inconvenience of he Cook Room.
