In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Lords of the Admiralty had particular reasons for settling Pensions on Thomas Mason and Peter Jackson, but would have the Rules for establishing Pensions to the Chest strictly complied with for the future. Captain Soanes was sentenced by Court Martial to pay a fine of £300 to the Chest for losing the JAMES GALLY. The same was remitted on 1695-07-22. On 12 July 1695, William White, a Pensioner, is to have this taken from him for deserting from the QUEENBOROUGH.
