In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We are informed that Mr Roger Foulke who served a Volunteer by Order on board the hired Ship LUMLEY CASTL, did, when he was lost on the back of Gibraltar, go aboard the YORK by direction of Rear Admiral Nevells, and served in her till she was paid off.
We direct you to cause an allowance to be made to him, equal to that of a Volunteer by Order in His Majesty's Ships, for the time he served in the YORK, notwithstanding there was no Warrant for this service.
