In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have sent Orders to Captain Fairborne to turn over Men from the Great Ships in the River Medway into the Machine Vessels.
We direct you cause them to be paid as other turned over Men are, and if this is not possible before they sail from the Nore, one of your Clerks should go with them to the Downs and pay them there.
We understand from an extract of a letter from Sir Richard Haddock to your Board that there are several turned over Men of the WOOLWICH on board the YARMOUTH and ROYAL WILLIAM, who were not paid. We direct that they are paid their Wages as soon as these Ships come to Portsmouth or any other Port.
