In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Your letter of 14 August to our Secretary proposed the laying up of machine and smoke vessels which were His Majesty's at Woolwich, and the discharging of those which were hired. You are directed to do this as soon as their machines and ordnance shall be taken out. The men taken from them shall be put aboard the ROYAL KATHERINE at the Nore and paid the wages due to them.
