In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to have a third or more, not exceeding a half, of the cables, anchors, sails and masts for the three deck ships in the Straits, stopped in order that they may go with the next convoy. You are to forebear loading the ships in the river and to take out of the ships at Portsmouth as much of the stores as necessary to the proportion already mentioned.
