Our order of 6 May directed that Lieutenant Jonas Hanway, 2nd Lieutenant of the ELIZABETH, be suspended from 1 May for some irregular proceedings in impressing men. You are directed to have his wages stopped from 1 May to 26 August and that this is paid to the Chest at Chatham. You are to have Lieutenant Hanway's suspension removed from 26 August and to re-enter him as Lieutenant and to have Robert Stephens, appointed 3rd Lieutenant by the Lord Berkeley, discharged.
