In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Lestock of the CAPTAIN informs that the Clerk of the Cheque at Woolwich has recorded a number of Plymouth Men as having deserted whereas they now belong to the DEVONSHIRE. The Navy Board is reminded that Orders have previously been issued that Men joining ships that are fitting out should be paid the wages due to them for their time in ships in which they have previously served. The Board is cautioned to take particular care to see that they are paid accordingly.
