In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Delays in victualling Advice Boats and other ships at Portsmouth and Plymouth bound for the East and West Indies have occurred and the Admiralty is disinclined to accept the excuses proffered. Orders are given for the ships to be supplied without further delay by sending provisions overland if winds remain unfavourable. The fate of two Quakers named Hoolbroke employed at Deptford Yard and lately imprisoned at Newgate for sedition is discussed; but as they remain incarcerated they are to be dismissed from the Yard. The Commissioners for Victualling are reported to be in some doubt as to how they should proceed with supplying the Mediterranean Fleet and are reminded that they are to conform to the Orders previously issued. Credits are being issued for the LINCOLN to be two monthly in Holland.
