In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Commander of the SOUTHAMPTON at Spithead has stated that he can accommodate only four of the eight months provisions allotted to her for her forthcoming voyage to the Leeward islands. Orders are issued for the immediate hire a suitable vessel to carry the balance of her provisions and to accompany her.
