In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Requiring the Victualling Board to be ordered to put on board the Ships of the Line which are to take part in battle in the Channel two month's provisions as soon as they are in a condition to receive them. The balance of provisions is also to be put on board provided the ships have not already sailed; but if they have the extra provisions are to be held in readiness at Portsmouth, Plymouth and western ports.
