In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Two new Advice Boats are to be built urgently in places chosen by the Navy Board. They are, in general, to follow the design of previous advice boats but are to incorporate any improvements thought necessary for them to succeed on foreign service. The Board is also to advise on the number of Men and number and nature of guns necessary to crew and equip the vessels built in the Paramour some time ago as these vessels are also envisaged as being used as Advice Boats.
