In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Navy Board has reported that they have hired a French Prize at Biddeford called THE TOWN OF ST MALO to serve as a Fifth Rate Man-of-War. Their recommendation for her to receive a crew of 120 men together with some thirty-six large and six smaller guns already on board is accepted. Instructions are given for her to be fitted for service in the Channel and to be supplied with victuals for three months. She is to bear the name (No Suggestions).
