In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Ordering all possible despatch to be made in fitting the LIGHTNING, JOSEPH, ST. VINCENT and FORTUNE Fireship currently in the Thames and the CRESCENT now at Chatham for sea. Those in the Thames are to proceed to Gallion Reach when ready to sail and from there to the Nore attended by Riggers and Ordinary where they lack their own men. The Brigantines in the Thames and at Chatham are also to be made ready without delay. The Board is to be kept constantly informed of their state of readiness.
