Enclosure: The results of two Courts Martial held aboard the ST. MICHAEL and the BRITANNIA in the Medway, Lord Berkeley Admiral of the Blue presiding assisted by Sir Cloudesley Shovell Admiral of the Red covering the loss of the ROYAL SOVEREIGN due to fire in which the draconian punishment meted out to an aged Watchman is described, including the forfeiture of wages imposed on the ship's Carpenter for not reporting for duty. In the second trial the Captain of the TIGER was convicted of cowardice in not coming to the defence of another Ship and received a hefty fine.
