In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Understanding by your letter of yesterday that the first 5th Rate building by Mr Ellis, and the 5th Rate building by Mr Burgess at Shoreham, will be ready to launch about the 21st/ 22nd of this month, the former to be named the LYNN and the latter the FOWEY, and to be established with the same number of Men and number and nature of Guns as allowed in the fifth Rates last built, we direct they be launched as soon as may be, fitted out for Channel service, manned with the highest Complement of Men and victualled for ten weeks.
