In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Captain John Anderson, late Commander of the Fireship HAWK, came home from West Indies with all the Books and Papers belonging to his Accounts, but they were taken by the French.
We direct you to pay his Wages for the time he commanded this Ship if there are no other objections than his loss, and the lack of his Commission being confirmed by this Board, which was granted by Sir Francis Wheeler.
