In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We direct you to let us know how far the Victualling Commissioners have proceeded in supplying the Fleet with the last two months' Provisions ordered to be put aboard them.
As a great part of the Fleet began Sea Provisions considerably sooner than in earlier years, you are to order the Victualling Commissioners to take care that such quantity of Provisions be timely supplied to the Fleet as may make up what may be required on account of their beginning too early, enabling them to keep at Sea untill such time as it is necessary to come into Harbour.
