This acknowledges your letter of the 6th inst; with the Affadavits against Lieutenant Jenkinson of the SANDWICH for beating and abusing John Jay, Master of the UNITY, a Tender on the said Ship. I inform you that the Admiralty Commissioners have sent Orders to the Chief Flag Officer in the Downs to try the matter at a Court Martial, so that you direct the said Master to repair there forthwith with what evidence he has to attend the Court Martial.
