In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
William Bedford, late of the LONDON, was sent to Town by this Board in February 1694 and detained about fourteen months giving evidence for his Majesty against Captain Billop.
We direct you to cause William Bedford to be borne on the books of this Ship for the time he was employed on the above service. We are also informed by Bedford that Captain Billop pretends he is due eight pounds of Wages before February 1694, but you are not to pay this to any Person but Bedford himself, or whoever he shall empower to receive it for him.
