In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We are informed by Mr Pacy, Muster Master at Yarmouth, that the Lieutenants and Master of the WINCHELSEA with her Pinnace and Yawl and twenty Men were ordered by their Commander on the Coast of Holland to retake a Transport Ship, which service they performed and carried her into the Fleet, but they were forced to put for the English Coast at Yarmouth, not being able to get back to the WINCHELSEA which had stood out to Sea.
As a reward for their service the Muster Master at Yarmouth is to pay each Man forty shillings, but if the Lieutenant, Master and Men have come away from Yarmouth to the WINCHELSEA at the Nore, you are to order the Clerk of the Cheque at Sheerness to pay the forty shillings to each of the twenty Men upon their arrival at the Nore.
