In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

A Court Martial held on board the QUEEN at Spithead on 30 October, Sir Cloudesley Shovell, Admiral and Commander-in-Chief in the Mediterranean presiding, made enquiry into the complaint of John Byron, late Master of the TRIDENT against Lieutenant Higgins, 2nd Lieutenant. Lieutenant Higgins was fined 12 months pay to go to the Chest at Chatham. We enclose a copy of the sentence and direct you to ensure the fine is paid.
