In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

You were directed to have the HARWICH cleaned and refitted at Portsmouth for a voyage to Virginia, but having since ordered her to the Nore, you are to give your opinion as to where it is most proper for this to be done, at Chatham or the River Thames. You are also to take care that the men of the FRIENDLY SOCIETY, hired ship, and turned over to the DUNKIRK, are not to be paid until they come on board the DUNKIRK at Chatham.
