In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to order the Commissioners of the Victualling to complete the provisions to 4 months for ships in Sir Cloudesley Shovell's squadron that remain at Spithead. John Hilary a Waterman is made "Run" on the CHESTER's books and you are to have this taken off as he has been put aboard a ship bound for foreign service. The Officers of Sheerness yard have been denied leave to go out of the gates and inspect the watch. We have written to the Governor of that garrison and have received his answer, a copy of which is enclosed.
