In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Commissioners at Plymouth sent a messenger to London with directions for the Post Masters to provide him with two books and a guide, to be charged to the account of the General Post Office. The Post Master General has informed us that the charge amounts to £4.9.10 and asks that this be reimbursed to them as to do otherwise would prejudice their revenue. You are directed to have this sum paid accordingly. You are also directed to have Richard Bayly entered as a Rigger in the Deptford yard until such time as he can serve as a Cook in His Majesty's ships.
