In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The FAVERSHAM and HENRY[?] at Shoreham are in want of victuals and you are directed to order the Commissioners of the Victualling to have a vessel from Portsmouth take a month's provisions for each ship. The Master of the vessel is to apply to Sir Cloudesley Shovell to appoint a convoy for him. The hospital ship the SOCIETY is now in Longreach and you are to have the Riggers and Ordinary at Deptford and Woolwich bring her up to Blackwall, where she is to be discharged. In case any of the men-of-war sent to the West Indies are not able to stow all their provisions, you are to order the Commissioners of the Victualling to supply credit for that which they cannot take on board.
