In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have given orders that the commanders of 1st 2nd and 3rd Rates, now refitting in the Thames and Medway, shall give leave to men to be absent to refresh themselves. You are directed to give orders to Clerks of the Cheque and Muster Masters that such men are to be chequed for victuals only during their absence.
