In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The annual salaries of the two appointed Commissioners of the Registry Office (who are not members of the Navy Board), the Secretary, his clerks and others are viz:- Commissioners £300 each per annum; Secretary £200; four Clerks at £100, £80, £70, £60; Doorkeeper £40; Housekeeper £30; Messenger £20; Porter £20. You are directed to sign bills quarterly on the Treasurer of the Navy for paying these salaries. The salaries of the Commissioners are to commence from last Lady Day and the others from mid-summer last.
