In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We have considered your letter of 19 November, and direct you to let us know what rate you think proper to set up His Majesty's yard at Kinsale. You are to send a letter to Rear Admiral Nevil at Cadiz, enclosing letters of credit for the £4,000, which Sir Cloudesley Shovell was to have had, so that he may set up such monies as the service shall call for. As soon as the ROYAL TRANSPORT arrives at the Nore, you are to have her surveyed and let us know what alteration must be made to put her in condition as a frigate. We have received a letter from the owners of the ST MALO hired ship, asking for part of the money due to them to enable them to refit her. We are sending you a copy of their letter.
