Edward Deacon has petitioned this Board, setting forth that he has been a Surgeon of several of His Majesty's ships, the HOPEWELL fireship, DEPTFORD and PRUDENCE and desires to be Surgeon of the new 2nd Rate at Deptford, for the good service done by his wife in discovering divers cheats and forgeries committed in the Navy. You are directed to have him appointed as Surgeon of the new 2nd Rate at Deptford.
