In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
This Board has resolved that the 6 brigantines DISCOVERY at Plymouth, the POST BOY, INTELLIGENCE and DILIGENCE at Portsmouth, and the FLYE and DISPATCH at Sheerness, should be fitted out for sea this winter and employed as tenders on the fleet to impress men. You are directed to have them cleaned and refitted and victualled as tenders are. They are to be appropriated to the flag ship and others as you think most convenient and are to have a commander and officers.
