In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to have the SOUTHSEA CASTLE at Plymouth to be cleaned and refitted for a voyage to Virginia and victualled for 8 months for her middle complement of men. You are to reduce her present complement and to give orders that such men she has more than her middle complement, be turned over to the SEAFORD. You are also directed to have the SHARK brigantine at Sheerness, to be fitted out and victualled in the same manner as the 6 brigantines for pressing men for the fleet in the River and thereabouts, she to be employed in the same service.
