In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to have the DOVER prize now at Hoylake, cleaned and refitted for service in the Channel and victualled for 10 weeks or 2 months with all dispatch. You are also to order the Ordinary riggers at Deptford to assist in carrying the BONADVENTURE hired ship down to the Hope and getting her guns and provisions aboard. In case you have not given orders for entering men in the LIGHTNING fireship which is to be fitted for the West Indies, you are directed to do this.
