In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
William Banton, Gunner of the NORWICH, is to be appointed Master Gunner of the RESTORATION in place of the former removed to the new 2nd Rate building at Portsmouth. You are directed to enter him accordingly together with such allowance of wages and victuals for himself and servant as is proper. His warrant is to be dated 24 November 1696.
